A collaborative initiative of the
Home Missions Leadership Conference
and the
Congar Institute for Ministry Development.
Our mission:
  • To assist bishops in mission dioceses in forming lay ecclesial
ministers to serve the local Church.

Our Services:
  • We offer full-service consultation to bishops and diocesan staff
responsible for formation and development of lay ecclesial ministers.
  • We accept invitations for short-and-long term full service
consultation from bishops and their delegates. Working with
diocesan officials, we develop formation programs tailored to specific
local needs, making prudent use of the formation resources already
    present in the diocese.

Steps to Begin:
  • With the authorization of the bishop of the diocese, here are the steps:
  • Contact us.
  • Plan an initial assessment by phone or in person.
  • Identify the task.

Affordable fees:
  • The institute sets its fees, which help cover operating expenses,
according to a sliding scale based on a diocese’s ability to pay.
  • No request will be denied solely for financial reasons.
  • We will assist you to find funding when necessary.
