Congar in a Flash!

Lenten spiritual formation events

About 500 people took part in three Lenten spiritual formation events in March cosponsored by the Congar Institute and the Diocese of Salt Lake City. Fr. Ray John Marek OMI and Dr. Antonio Ramirez de León directed the Annual Lenten Retreats in Salt Lake City in English and Spanish, respectively. Fr. Wayne Cavalier, OP directed a regional retreat for women in southern Utah at St. George Parish. Dr. Ramirez, our newest Resource Person, had this to say about the experience: "I am very encouraged by the commitment of the lay people and Directors. The participants are very well organized, enthusiastic and attentive. The Bishop's presence affirmed the value and importance of the event and his commitment to the Church as people of God."

Lenten Reflection booklet

This Easter we were able to share a Lenten Reflection booklet with our friends and donors. This booklet, written by friars and friends of the Southern Dominican Province, was a note of thanks for their continued support to the Congar Institute.
