Archdiocese of Santa Fe, New Mexico

Partnership to assist in their Pastoral Leadership Formation Program. Assistance offered in curriculum development, program design, recruitment and facilitation.

  • Lay Ecclesial Ministry Formation Program in English and Spanish. Sixty-three participants were commissioned by Bishop Wester as Lay Ecclesial Ministers in August 2014. New co-horts are beginning in 2015.

  • Advent/Lenten retreats in English and Spanish for the urban and rural areas of the diocese

Archdiocese of San Antonio, Texas:

  • Continuing Education workshops and spiritual retreats in different parishes of the Archdiocese
  • Christ the King Parish: Project to create a "Network of Area Social Services." This network will assist in attending to the needs of disadvantaged community members

Implementation of a basic 3-year Hispanic lay pastoral formation program in Spanish based on inventory carried out in 2007 (in its second year).


Diocese of Sacramento, CA

Inventory process that looks at present programs, available resources (personnel, technology, finances, and so on), and unaddressed needs that will lead to a comprehensive report and plan for implementation for lay leadership formation.

Planning support and resource persons for diocesan Hispanic deacon formation program in Spanish (and subsequently in English)

Satellite Theological Education Program

In collaboration with the Dioceses of Salt Lake City, UT and Beaumont, TX and with the University of Notre Dame Satellite Theological Education Program, we are co-developing online courses in English and Spanish for use in pastoral ministry formation programs.

Manual for Pastoral Institutes

Fr. Luis Roberto Aguilar, O.P. is working with a committee of the Federacion de Institutos Pastorales (FIP) to revise a manual for directors and people interested in creating a Pastoral Institute.
